I’m sure you guys all know our vision statement by heart. Right? (if not – go look it up here)
But you probably didn’t know we have a Leadership Core Value also. It goes like this:
“The #1 job of every leader at CCC is to RAISE UP NEW LEADERS!”
No matter what your leadership role is at Copper Creek, your first priority is to raise up new leaders in your ministry area. This takes precedent even over the ministry area itself. The most important leadership function is raising up new leaders.
Here’s why. God planted the gifts of leadership for this church in you – the people of this church.
Ephesians 4:11-12 says this:
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
It’s my personal conviction that these spiritual gifts from verse 11 are scattered throughout the church. Maybe every one of us has one or more of these gifts. It’s just that we don’t have an opportunity to step into those gifts. But unless we all are using the gifts God has given us, our church (the body of Christ) will never be built up to the level of maturity that Christ wants for us.
What’s the point?
If you are a leader in the church, who are you pulling in to lead WITH you?
If you aren’t leading somewhere in the church, get ready! We’ve got our eyes on you. Not because we have a spot to fill. But because we want you to be everything Jesus designed you to be. So that our church can be everything Jesus dreams we will be.
