The new kids wing will be a safe space that kids can claim as their own; their own uniquely decorated classrooms, their own large gathering space for games or videos, and their own fun lobby area for check-in.
The west half of our current sanctuary will be transformed into the youth area. It’s the perfect size for large group games, small group discussions, and just hanging out. The teens are excited about helping make this space their own!

The expanded sanctuary comfortably seats nearly 500 people for worship services and performances. While the east half of the current sanctuary will be a chapel for smaller services and gatherings.
The reimagined lobby and coffeeshop offer an inviting space to gather and build community, and a remodeled Creek space provides new classrooms for adult programs and small groups.

Hear why others have made Copper Creek home.
It's incredibly meaningful to look down a church row and see three generations of our family whose lives, identities, experiences and even faith tradition aren't all the same- and yet knowing there is room for everyone one of us.
I had no intention of getting to know God if he didn't love me as I am but Copper Creek has been there for all my questions, doubts, fears and joyous moments.
An expanded Copper Creek doesn't just create room for the church, it creates more opportunities for nonprofits like ours to serve families, remove barriers, and build a stronger, more connected community. - Marina
Our Prayer:
Gracious God, thank you for the profound work you are doing in and through our church. Thank you for the ever growing number of people who are finding a safe space and a soft landing place in and among us. Remind us of the countless number of people in our community still looking for a place like this. Plant deep in our hearts a passion for helping those people, whom you love, to experience the wonderful thing you are creating here.
Forgive us for playing small and forgetting your goodness, your provision, and your purposes for us. Lead us and guide us. Help us to tune in to you and to listen to you. Give us the courage to do what you are leading us to do. Help us to Make Room for all those who aren’t here yet.
Amen

This is our initiative to raise funds for this important expansion of our church building. In addition to the focus on raising necessary funds, we will also provide numerous opportunities to pray for and be a part of the project. We look forward to a tremendous celebration when the expansion opens in early 2028!
Making Room is a calling that applies to each of us individually as much as it applies to our church. We will be asking you to consider how God is calling you to make room in your own life. And we’ll be focusing on why we are so confident that God is calling CCC to make room for more people, more possibilities, more impact, and more ministry that lasts.
The biggest reason is to make room for more people! Our vision from the very beginning has been to create a space for people who are disconnected from Jesus or who have given up on church. Regrettably, it’s a population of people that just keeps growing. We’re expanding to make more room for them! And not just for them. We desperately need more room for our kids and youth, for adult bible studies and classes, for many of our big, fun events. We need more room for efforts to serve our community. We need more room for just about everything we do! Ultimately, we need to build because we believe we’ve only just begun to live into our God given vision!
Our favorite analogy for this is the example of a potted plant. At some point, the roots fill up the pot and there’s no more room for growth. Eventually that causes the plant to start to wither. It’s a powerful analogy! Healthy things grow. And our church is really healthy! But without making more room, we will plateau and eventually start to wither. PLUS - the Way of Jesus is all about welcoming people in. And we’ve got a lot of people to welcome in to our church in the years in ahead. We will be working on numerous ways for our church to “get smaller” as we grow bigger.
The Design Team has been working hard to develop plans that will meet our current and future needs, while also remaining a comfortable and welcoming space for those who will find their way here in the future. The addition will contain a dedicated kids wing, spaces for our teens, classrooms for bible studies, classes and small groups, a larger sanctuary and a larger indoor playground space.
We will be asking everyone to make their 3 year commitments on Sunday, October 4th. Of course, there will be additional opportunities to make a commitment if you cannot attend Commitment Sunday. Please remember that we are all making pledges that are above and beyond your regular financial support of the church. We will still have the same bills to pay during this construction phase! Your contributions to the Making Room Campaign do not have to be in equal increments over that 3 year period. We hope that some of you will give significant portions of your commitment up front, while others of us will likely be able to give more in years 2 or 3 of the campaign.
Please join us in making prayer a top priority. Notice the daily prayer prompts in this booklet. Join us for times of prayer. Show up for the 4 weeks of Making Room worship where we’ll be diving into our vision, along with numerous ideas and dreams. Last thing - start spreading the word! Remember, we are here for the ones who aren’t here yet.
